SPORTS SCIENCE WORKSHOP: MODERN TRAINING METHODS FOR GRASSROOTS COACHES

The MFCC held its quarterly Sports Science Workshop, bringing together council members for an intensive day of learning focused on modern training methods applicable to grassroots football.

Topics covered included basic sports nutrition for young athletes, common injury prevention strategies, introduction to video analysis for coaching improvement, and age-appropriate physical conditioning methods.

Guest speakers included a sports physiotherapist from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital and a performance analyst who has worked with several Nigerian Professional Football League clubs. The workshop reinforced the council's commitment to continuous professional development for all its members.
